Do you know if maybe it should be checked in order to do away with the extra folder thing? Or do you know of any other way to get away from it, or how to find out? I haven't been able to find a manual for it, but other than creating that extra folder-sometimes but not always-I love the way it works. Someone told me the way to get away from needing to have those extra folders is to go to config and uncheck the box beside "Store all samples in project directory (if provided by host)", but it's not checked. Since I directed it to the Samples folder where I wanted it to use samples from I deleted the new folder, but then the project didn't work. It seemed great, but then a folder called shortcircuitdata just showed up in the folder where the Percussion project was, and in it were copies of some-but not all-of the samples used in that project. In the same project but on their own tracks also added a couple of octaves from one tom, a couple of octaves from one chime and a couple of octaves from one timpani. wav, then went on to do the same thing for bongos, timbale and congas, also added in 3 notes of cowbell and one for a shaker, all on the same track. Also made a Percussion project with an octave of triangle from one sample. I loaded the drum kit samples you provided and could arrange them all on one track, on the keys I wanted so it was convenient for the way I want to draw in notes. Along the way someone mentioned Shortcircuit and I've been having pretty nice success with that. I tried out ReaSamplOmatic a bit but from some threads got the impression it wouldn't do what I wanted to do. I took your advice and did seek, and have learned a good bit and had pretty fair success in some ways. How do you select the time selection? I haven't been able to find that option. A Midi item will be created in that track that is the same as your time selection. Then click on "Insert" in the menu and select "New MIDI item". Just select a track and then select a time selection. You can add midi items to your tracks, at any size you want. Do you think that's the best way of doing it? Then when I opened the measure window (whatever it's called.midi editor?) I was able to drag the sound the full three measures. It didn't drag the sound but did drag the measure, so I took it out to three measures. Then closed the measure and tried dragging the sound in the work area. So I started over and unticked the ticks and then made the first measure dragging the sound across it. I have set that on toolbar, so it can be switched on/off when needed." - xpander There's also action Item properties: Loop item source. "\Preferences\Project\Media Item Defaults. Now you will see all your measures." - Refillable Drag your midi take to taste and go into midi editor. ![]() ![]() "Right click your midi take -> item settings and make sure 'loop item source' is not selected. ![]() In it people gave me the following good suggestions: Years ago I asked about it, but lost the info and the thread. ![]() I am starting to get some progress with this though. I don't understand what CCs are, or a 0, or a CC7. This could happen when you're copying in some way. Make sure you don't have any CCs that have a 0 and then turn on right away like a CC7. Are you drawing the note through the measures or are you copying Midi items and putting them back to back?
